The Serpent Breathing (蛇の呼吸, Hebi no kokyū?) is a Breathing Style derived from the Water Breathing. The Serpent Breathing focuses on twisting and bending the sword like how a serpent slithers, the attacks are not direct and constantly meander which can ultimately strike anywhere. Since this technique is currently known to only be utilized by Obanai Iguro, it can only be used with a twisted blade that is similar in appearance to an Indonesian Kris Sword, with the sword's shape modeled into the bodily structure of a snake.

Techniques
- First Form: Winding Serpent Slash (壱ノ型 委蛇斬り, Ichi no kata: Idagiri?)[1] - Obanai moves like a slithering snake and releases several slashes in a winding pattern.
- Second Form: Venom Fangs of the Narrow Head (弐ノ型 狭頭の毒牙, Ni no kata: Kyōzu no Dokuga?)[2] - Obanai dashes behind his opponent at blinding speed and lops off their head.
- Third Form: Coil Choke (参ノ型 塒締め, San no kata: Toguro Jime?)[3] - Obanai circles around his opponent while using his sword to slice them from all directions.
- Fourth Form: Twin-Headed Reptile (肆ノ型 頸蛇双生, Shi no kata: Keija Sōsei?)[4] - Obanai leaps forward and performs a horizontal slash that slices through the target.
- Fifth Form: Slithering Serpent (伍ノ型 蜿蜿長蛇, Go no kata: En'en Chōda?)[5] - Obanai curves his sword in multiple directions and slices his opponent, making it capable of decapitating multiple enemies at once.
