Kanata Kamado (

Appearance
Kanata is a young man of reasonable height with short black hair, cut into a neat fringe that hangs over his forehead. His eyes are gentle and of a dark violet color with paler rings of lavender around their edges, and he's usually seen with an expressionless face. Overall, his appearance bears a strong resemblance to that of his ancestor Kanao Tsuyuri.
Kanata wears his high school's uniform, consisting of a pale blue dress shirt with a sleeveless, white v-neck cardigan worn over the top, and plain black pants. He wears a black necktie around his neck, as well as a pair of dark brown dress shoes and a watch with a white strap on his left wrist.
Personality
Kanata takes after Kanao in terms of personality as well as appearance, as he is often seen with a blank expression and communicates with most everyone in a monotonous manner. He also appears to be rather mathematical, as he accurately counted and recalled the amount of times he told his brother to wake up.[1] However, it's shown that he'll drop this personality when around Toko Agatsuma, as he's seen smiling at her and calling her cute when they meet up on the walk to school.[3]
Synopsis
Sunrise Countdown Arc
Kanata is first seen trying to wake up his brother, Sumihiko, so he won't be late for school. He remarks that he's told him to get up 28 times that morning, and, when a dozing Sumihiko replies that he is up, Kanata argues that he isn't, and tells his brother that he's an ugly sleeper.[1]
As he walks to school alongside two smaller boys who resemble Kotetsu and Kozo Kanamori, Kanata is greeted by Toko and her brother Yoshiteru Agatsuma. Kanata notices that Toko curled her hair and tells her it looks cute, leaning over to poke her cheek as they hold hands and telling her that she's the cutest girl in the world, much to the anger of Yoshiteru.
The three set off, and, when asked where Sumihiko is as they pass by a kindergarten, Kanata replies that he's still asleep. Toko asks Kanata if he wants to stop by the snake-decor diner with large portion sizes the way home, to which he replies that he doesn't know if he can ever show his face there again. Toko asks why, and Kanata explains that last time they were there, Yoshiteru wouldn't stop staring at the chest of the woman who worked there, causing her husband to throw a knife at the two.[4]
Relationships
Toko Agatsuma
Kanata and Toko are on very close terms and are seen walking hand-in-hand on their way to school, with both of them becoming visibly brighter and happier when they're around each other. They're additionally distant relatives since Toko's great-grandmother was Nezuko Kamado, and Kanata's great-grandfather was Tanjiro Kamado.[3]
Yoshiteru Agatsuma
Although very rarely seen interacting, Yoshiteru and Kanata appear to be on good terms as it's noted that they visited a diner together, and Yoshiteru is the younger brother of Toko. Yoshiteru seems to dislike when Kanata and Toko talk to each other in a flirtatious manner, but this is likely out of jealousy rather than protectiveness for his older sister.[3]
Abilities and Powers
As a regular human, Kanata hasn't been shown to possess any form of unnatural power.
